First Aid Requirements and Training

Adventurous Activities Permit

The Scout Association has recently changed the rules regarding Form'M's. This will be superseded with the new 'Adventurous Activities Permit', to come into effect sometime before September 2007. For further information go to ScoutBase UK.

Under the new rules the permit holder is not required to hold a First Aid certificate / qualification. However there must be a suitably qualified first aider present during the activity. [see Scoutbase for further information]

HSMT recommend that all permit holders still endeavour to obtain the relevent First Aid qualification.

Form'M' applications in Hampshire are currently being issued under the current Scout Association rules and will change when the new scheme is implemented.
