Activity Leadership Grant Scheme 2006
Scouts Need Activities - Activities need Qualified Leaders -
Support is now Available
Hampshire Scouts have received a grant of £8,625 from the King George VI Memorial Fund towards the cost of National Governing Body training of Activity Leaders and Instructors.
The grant is available for courses in Caving, Canoeing, Climbing, Sailing, Mountaineering, Shooting, Archery... in fact practically all of the activities that Scouts want to do.
We will earn the full grant by getting 98 people trained. That may sound like quite a lot but it is fewer than four per District - so not even one per District in each of the different activities listed above.
In addition to the grant for the course fees themselves, we have additional grant funding available to reimburse associated expenses, such as travelling and childcare costs, up to £50 per course participant.
There will probably never be a better time to get trained to deliver your activity to Hampshire Scouts so make 2006 your Activity Leadership Training Year.
Please note that these grants are available for Activity Leadership, Instructor and Coaching courses, not for individual activity skills.
